NEW BLOG | FASHION HOAX!

09.10.2012 | You haven't heard from me in a while. Wondering what's up? Whether I'm too jetlagged or just tired of blogging? No and no. I've been working on the new blog!!

Yes, it's time for something new! A new name, new design, new system. Why? The name Virtual Fashion View is way to long and for lots of people who I talked to too hard to remember. Plus it's too common. I wanted a name that would fit the concept of my blog. A new design is always good after a few years. It's fresh, simple, but stylish. Designer Erwin Schutt did an amazing job. I'm working with Wordpress now which gives me way more and way better options. I'm so excited to show it to you! Hope you all come join me at... FashionHoax.com!

There will be a celebrating give-away online soon, so stay tuned!  VirtualFashionView.com will soon be redirected, so from now on you can follow me at:

Before I leave Virtual Fashion View, I have to give a big thank you to my wonderful boyfriend who made Fashion Hoax happen  Alright, see you at FashionHoax.com :D

OUTFIT | DIY CAMO SHORTS

17.08.2012 | DIY Camo shorts

I bought the most ugly camo pants the other day for €5,- to do a DIY. I cut it of and made me some awesome camo shorts. So easy, yet it feels like I just bought an amazing new addition to my summer closet. I'm thinking about putting a few studs on the shorts, what do you think? Anyway, enjoy the look and the lovely weather!

DIY | DYED SWEATER

18.07.2012 | The best way to spice up your wardrobe is to dye items you hardly wear anymore!

I always loved the shape en fitting of this sweater, but purple is so not the color for me. I decided to color the sweater to make it like new again. It was suppose to color to grey, but it turned out dark blue. Which is not a problem at all! I love this color. I was just surprised, because it normally never goes "wrong". I've done this before and it's so easy. Just wash your item with the paint-powder and salt, that's it! My DIY tip to you :)  I'll show you the complete outfit tomorrow!

OUTFIT | DIY LEATHER GILET

19.06.2012 | Photos made by Mirte - Fashion Mind

I'm cutting up everything in my closet. This leather jacket was another victim. I simply cutted of the sleeves and there was my new leather gilet! An edgy piece like that doens't need much more, I figured a simple white t-shirt and blue jeans would do. To make the outfit even more rock 'n roll I wore my biker boots. This look is really different from my last look, but I like to mix it up! Do you like this rock chick look?

OUTFIT | DIY CUT OUT TEE

29.05.12 | Photos made by Mirte - Fashion Mind

I wanted a shirt like this so bad, that I decided to make it myself. I first cutted of the sleeves near the seam and then cutted of the seams on both sides. Just like an open back, I think open sides are sexy and stylish. It makes a basic outfit way more interesting! Do you have a cut out t-shirt too? Enjoy the look :)

SHOPPING & DIY | COLLAR

Karl by Karl Lagerfeld collars

28.02.12 | Mr. Lagerfeld aka Mr. Collar seems to have made a big impression on the fashion world again. Not with his collections this time, but with his style. The collar is hot! What's next, cut-off leather gloves?! Collars make it very easy to spice up your top or blouse. I really love these Karl collars, but Romwe, Marni for H&M and Akira also have a great collection of collars. If you find a real collar a bit too much, you can also go for a collar necklace. For all the fashionistas that like to DIY, I found these two amazing collar DIYs at honestlywtf.com, to create you own collar tips or to make a peter pan collar. Definitely worth a look!
